Jayce woke up to a hard banging at his door; like the police were about to bust through. He rolled over in his bed and looked at the clock and it said 6:45am.
“Who the hell is at my door?” He said to himself.
He got out of bed and pulled on a T-shirt and some sweatpants. He walked to his door and looked through the peephole and saw a large man outside. He was hesitant about opening the door at first, wondering who it could be. He decided that he would, hoping maybe it was just some misunderstanding.
As soon as Jayce opened the door, two large gentleman busted through his home.
“Where the fuck is G, lil’ nigga?!” One man said.
“What? What are you talking about?!”
The other smaller gentleman walked up to Jayce and jacked him up against the wall by the front door, “we know G has been over here. Chance told us. Now we know she hiding out in here, and when we find her we have orders to take her and whoop your ass” he said with a grin that indicated that he’d been waiting to cause bodily harm to someone.
Jayce looked at them stunned, “fellas, I don’t know what you’re talking about, but G isn’t here. I haven’t seen her in days!”
The security guard holding Jayce punched him in the stomach, “bitch, don’t lie to me! Mo, tear this place apart! I bet her ass is here!”
No begins to ransack Jayce’s apartment, searching furiously for G. They both know this is the last resort before Chance has to answer to Mr. Ray. While Mo is looking through every inch of Jayce’s place, Jayce is struggling to get free and get questions answered.
“Fellas, if we could just sit down and talk I’m sure we can maybe put our heads together and solve this. I swear I haven’t talked to G in a couple days. She told me she was good, but didn’t say where she was. I’m beginning to worry actually.”
“Man, shut the hell up” the man said.
Minutes later, Mo comes back towards the front of the apartment empty handed.
“She’s not here; there’s no sign of her” he said.
“Shit. What are we gonna tell Boss Man?”
Mo shrugs his shoulders, “shit I don’t know. But I know I’ve looked and she ain’t here.”
The man holding Jayce loosens his grip, but doesn’t step away. He gets real close and makes eye contact, “if we come back and find out G is here, your ass is ours, punk.”
“Yea. Whatever; like I said, she ain’t here and she hasn’t been here. If you want, tell Chance I’m done with G anyway! She’s nothing but a lying bitch in my eyes!”
Mo and his partner gather themselves and leave the residence. Jayce breathes a sigh of relief, as he surely thought these men would kill him in his own home.
He walks over to his living room and sits on the couch and pulls his phone out of his pocket. He sends a text:
“Hes still looking. You’re better off where you are for a while.”
He put his phone down and turned on the TV. A few seconds later, he got a text back:
“Thanks for always having my back. Love you, Jay.”
“Love you too, G. Stay safe, love.”
